Biography:

Research Interests:  Dan studies the perception and cognitive neuroscience of musical rhythm: its development from infancy, cross-cultural differences, group dynamics in rhythmic behaviour, and the fundamental neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying rhythm's rich perceptual, social, and emotional phenomena.

 Dan has been fascinated and focused on rhythm throughout his education, studying percussion performance at University of Toronto (BMus 2007), cognitive neuroscience of music at Goldsmiths, University of London (MSc, 2011), and neuroscience at University of Western Ontario (PhD, 2016).
